Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Samuel Nartey George, has once again taken aim at what he describes as the “deceptive” claims surrounding the Ghana Card’s status as an international electronic passport.
This follows Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s previous assertions that the Ghana Card would be recognized as an electronic passport in 197 countries and accepted at 44,000 airports worldwide by 2022.
Appearing on TV3’s New Day, Sam George vehemently debunked these claims, revealing that despite the government’s bold assertions, the Ghana Card is still not recognized for travel between Ghana and its neighboring country, Togo.
“You cannot use the Ghana Card to travel from Accra to Togo,” Sam George said, drawing attention to the discrepancy between the government’s promises and the reality experienced by citizens.
Expressing his frustration with the misleading rhetoric, Sam George called Bawumia a “dishonest lion,” accusing him of misleading the public regarding the true capabilities of the Ghana Card.
“When I tell you Bawumia is a scammer, he’s a scammer.
It’s a corner test,” he added passionately, questioning the Vice President’s credibility.
