The member of parliament for Ningo-Prampram Sam George has said President Akufo-Addo is beginning to appear as a supporter of LGBTQ in Ghana.
Hon. Sam George revealed that it has been 8 months now since the 8th parliament passed the LGBTQ bill but has not been assent to by President Akufo-Addo.
Speaking to his constituents as part of Mahama’s campaign tour in Greater Accra, Sam George speaking to the residents of Ningo-Prampram said, “Mr. President you are beginning to appear as a supporter of LGBTQ the people of Ghana, and the people of Ningo Prampram do not want it”.
“So, President Akufo-Addo it has been 8 months since parliament passed the legislation, sign it or tell the people what your stand is on LGBTQ, we know the stand of President Mahama, we don’t know your stand, tell us your stand what your stand is”, he added.
Sam George also stated Ghanaians want to know President Akufo-Addo’s stand on the bill, saying, “Mr. President Akufo-Addo as a representative of Ningo-Prampram the people of Ghana want to hear what your view is on the LGBTQ bill that is before you, say something, and sign it”.
