Ghanaian Reggae Dancehall Artist, Ras Kuuku has bemoaned how he and Rapper, Yaa Pono have been less appreciated for their immense and continuous support they give to upcoming musicians in the country.
The 2020 VGMA Reggae Dancehall Artist of the year shared that, most of the young musicians, before they hit the limelight and grow into superstars, are brought to them for features on their debut songs which end up blowing them up. He bemoaned how, the management of those Artists tend to forget their support and contribution to their greatness citing less appreciation.
He shared how Management of the late Ebony, brought her to him to produce and record her first ever song that blew her. He said until his death, his name was never mentioned a part of those who contributed to the late singer’s beautiful career.
In spite of all the less appreciation and non-acknowledgement, Ras Kuuku still shared hopes of a future recognition, maybe not now but in the future. He mentioned that, he has no idea why it keeps happening and despite that, he does not close his doors to young Artists.
