An Ashanti woman has descended on sub-Chiefs of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II for extorting money from market woman.
In a viral video circulating on social media platform Facebook, the woman lamenting bitterly pointed fingers at one Okyeame Kweku Owusu, a commonly known sub-chief in Asanteman.
The woman asserted that Okyeame Kweku Owusu and other sub-chiefs had extorted money from her and other market women, promising them market stalls in Kumasi to conduct their businesses, she said, “Okyeame Kweku Owusu Afia Pokua’s cases you were heard loudly speaking the Asante language, this market case we brought it to you, you took some foodstuffs from us and money from us and spent that you will take the matter to the Otumfuo did you take it to him?”
The Asante woman indicated such actions by some sub-chiefs have caused some Ghanaians not to respect the Otumfuo. She labelled the sub-chiefs of being “wicked” and “corrupt,” and informed them that their actions are causing sizable harm to the name of the Asantehene.
According to her, she has cursed Okyeame Kweku Owusu after she was stranded and left in debts.
