President Akufo-Addo has asked why the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress John Mahama is running away from a debate ahead of the 2024 elections.
According to President Akufo-Addo Ghanaians deserve the debate between Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and John Mahama.
Addressing the people of the North on the President’s tour of the region he said President Akufo-Addo stated, “a leader whose words can be trusted, who is consistent, and who is clear-minded and that is why some of us are saying, in fact, the majority us in Ghana are saying we want him and Bawumia to debate issues in our country”.
“Why is John Mahama running away from the debate, Bawumia says he is ready any day for the debate, Why is Mahama running away from the debate? The people of Ghana deserve the debate so they can see feeli feeli who is doing what and saying what”. President Akufo-Addo reiterated.
President Akufo-Addo further asked John Mahama to come clear on his position on the Free SHS policy, “Mr. Mahama which is which what should the Ghanaian people take from you as your position on the Free SHS is it safe with you, are you going to continue or you are going to review it or cancel it, none of those do we know from you. Nobody should be allowed to be the president who cannot answer these questions straight forward Yes or No”.
