Citizens of the Ketu South constituency have sent a clear message to Vice President and New Patriotic Party flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, asserting that they will not be treated as fools or mere spectators in the political process.
Speaking during TV3’s Communities Watch program in the Volta Region, residents voiced their frustrations about the current state of affairs in the country.
One community member pointed out the Vice President’s previous support for the controversial E-Levy, noting, “Bawumia was advocating for its introduction, but now he claims he will abolish it if elected on December 7.”
The resident emphasized, “We are not foolish. Are we not reasoning? We are citizens, not spectators. Come December 7, we will vote them out of power.”
The Electoral Commission (EC) is currently organizing an orientation session for the agents of the various political parties for the printing of ballot papers.
The orientation session will take place at the head office of the Electoral Commission in Accra today, Thursday, October 10. The Commission had announced that it would start printing the ballot papers on Friday, October 11.
