Vice President and NPP Flag bearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is emulating the strategy of his boss, President Akufo-Addo, from the 2016 elections. Back then, the President famously drank Kalipo to empathize with the general public, a moment that went viral with the hashtag #NanaKalipo.
This time, Dr. Bawumia was seen drinking coconut, known locally as kobe, during his campaign. In a viral video captured on social media platform X, he and his followers joyfully drank coconut juice, symbolizing their humility and readiness to serve.
This approach mirrors that of President Akufo-Addo in 2016. Dr. Bawumia’s new challenge of drinking kobe seems aimed at sending a similar message as the election approaches.
