A member of the New Patriotic Party’s communication team, Evans Amihere, has shared that all the occurrences in Parliament recently is a coup plot by both the NDC and the Speaker of Parliament.
According to him, the Speaker of Parliament’s recent media briefing was an indictment on the Presidency and Supreme Court citing it for usurping the powers of the head of legislature. He opined that the press and media briefing was needless on the side of the speaker.
He described the actions of both the Speaker and the NDC caucus as a coup plot citing the NDC for tearing apart the majority and minority sticker the clerk of parliament embossed on the side meant for the NPP. He argued that, the NPP chose to be absent from parliament because the NDC had come to occupy their space and seats.
He alleged that, the actions of the NDC in Parliament on November 7, 2024, was orchestrated by the Speaker of Parliament. He added that, the numbers in Parliament after the NPP boycotted could have engaged in government business but the speaker chose to adjourn it.
