Former National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, has issued a strong warning against any attempts to use the military to manipulate the upcoming December 7 general elections.
With just 16 days to go, the NDC has accused the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) of plotting to deploy military forces to influence the outcome of the polls.
Speaking at a campaign rally in Osino, Fanteakwa South constituency in the Eastern Region, Dr. Ofosu Ampofo reassured supporters that the NDC would not be intimidated by any such efforts.
He vowed to fiercely protect the integrity of the election and ensure that the will of the people prevails.
“We will not allow anyone to use the military to undermine the will of the people,” Ofosu Ampofo declared, stressing that the party was united and prepared to confront any challenges to a fair election.
