It was reported earlier by Yawanews.com that Labadi beach hotel has stunned SSNIT with a record dividend payment. The announcement of the payment was made by management of the hotel at their Annual General Meeting. The news beats the odds that stood against Labadi Beach’s profit making and returns in the past years.
In a social media post has celebrated the news of the payment of the dividend saying “Our Labadi Beach Hotel remains profitable, and the great news is all Ghanaians get to benefit from its profitability instead of a few state capture politicians”.
The North Tongu Lawmaker celebrates this feat because he pioneered the “save our hotels”, demonstration that ignited the support of organized labor and other stakeholders against the sale of Labadi beach Hotel to Rock City Hotels, which belonged to Bryan Acheampong, Member of Parliament for Mpraeso. The demonstration and calls from various stakeholders resulted in SSNIT halting the selling process which was almost in process.
