The running mate of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has called on the running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang to engage him in a debate.
According to Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang should not run away from debating him like her boss John Mahama.
The New Patriotic Party on several occasions called on the NDC flagbearer to debate their presidential candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia but speaking to supporters in the Ningo Prampram Constituency in the Greater Accra region, John Mahama dismissed the idea of a debate with Bawumia.
John Mahama said, “I will not bring Bawumia to my level by debating him. He should go and debate the people of Ghana and apologize to them. I know my level”.
The running mate of the NPP is now calling on his fellow running mate for a debate and noted the debate can even be in her bedroom and he will still win.
Napo said, “If John Mahama is scared and running away from international debate, they should organize it for the two former Education Ministers to debate. We both served for four years as ministers. Why is she scared?”
According to Peace FM NAPO is quoted as saying, “Don’t run away like your boss, let’s have a debate… the debate can be in your bedroom, and I will still win”.
With barely six weeks to the 2024 elections, things are beginning to heat up in Ghana ahead of the crucial December polls.
