The District Chief Executive for Ahanta West, John Agyare, has strongly emphasized that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is determined to retain the Ahanta parliamentary seat “by hook or crook.”
He confidently stated that given the numerous developmental projects spearheaded by President Nana Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the people of Ahanta West would not turn their backs on the party.
Agyare acknowledged that the constituency’s biggest challenge used to be the state of the roads, but added that their political opponents now have little to criticize, given the government’s efforts to address this issue.
In an interview with Nana Konadu Abu-Prah, Agyare highlighted the positive impact of the DRIP (Durable Road Infrastructure Program) machines on improving the region’s once-deplorable roads.
He noted that thanks to the DRIP machines, roads such as Funkoe, Adjoa, and New Amanful are now motorable, with only the application of bitumen remaining to complete the work.
He reaffirmed that the NPP’s development agenda would continue to resonate with the people of Ahanta West, making it impossible for the opposition to gain traction in the constituency.
