A video of the Paramount Chief of Agona Kwanyako dancing energetically in a palanquin to King Paluta’s hit song, “Makoma,” has surfaced online.

In the video, the Paramount Chief showcases his dancing skills while the song plays during the Agona Kwanyako Akwanbo Festival procession.

Upon hearing the music, he rises from his palanquin to sing and dance, much to the delight of the crowd, who cheer him on by joining in the celebration.

The Agona Kwanyako Akwanbo Festival is an annual cultural event celebrated by the people of the Agona East District in the Central Region.

This year, the festival, themed “Unifying for Development,” aims to bring the community together to strengthen peace and reconciliation.

The festivities will take place on Thursday, September 12, 2024, and include various activities such as drafts, card games, table tennis competitions, and a community clean-up exercise on Friday, September 13, among other events.
