A cargo truck headed for Burkina Faso has been involved in a severe accident at Suame Roundabout in Kumasi.
The truck which was carrying gallons of oil and bundles of A4 sheets, fell on a tricycle and another salon car.
According to eye witnesses, the rider of the tricycle evaded death by quickly jumping of his vehicle while the driver of the salon car is feared dead.
The driver of the cargo truck has also been admitted to the hospital receiving treatment.
These long-haul cargo trucks ply Ghanaian roads, transporting goods to neighboring countries. Most often, these trucks are overloaded with goods which results in the trucks balanced on one side. Sometimes, these trucks are loaded so high their height exceed the limits required for Ghanaian overhead bridges or toll structures.
