The member of parliament for Nsawam/ Adoagyiri Annoh Dompreh has already arrived at parliament ahead of today’s showdown.
Speaking to some media when he arrived early to parliament he said, “ We have given the strongest indication that we will also occupy the majority seats, it is up to the speaker, the orderliness in the Chamber and the precincts of parliament is in the bosom of the Speaker, we are looking forward for him to use his power for everything to go on in an orderly manner”.
“If something bad happens it on the Speaker, we are going to follow the laws, to whom much is given much is expected. He is the one leading the parliament and the law gives him the right to ensure orderliness, we are looking forward to him to do that”, he added.
Hon. Annoh Dompreh has reacted furiously to Annoh Dompreh already being seated in parliament speaking to the media, he said, “Why is Annoh seated there already, he knows that what he is doing is…., Why is Annoh Dompreh already sitting in there, when we were told the room opens at 8 o clock he is already seated in there, so they are the ones going to cause the fight”.
Parliament is sitting today after the Supreme court overturned a decision made by the Speaker of parliament to declare four seats vacant in parliament.
The NDC caucus have reiterated their position as the majority in parliament despite the supreme court ruling, with the NPP caucus also insisting they are the majority in parliament.
