President Akufo-Addo has taken a new role upon himself to preached faith to Ghanaians as his term of office is coming to an end.
The President during in a speech at the centenary celebrations of a church preached the importance of having a strong faith as a Christian and a Ghanain. He cited himself as someone who never lost his faith in his maker as he pursued to lead the country some 16 years ago emphasizing how it helped him and continuing to help him as he brings his eight years of governance to an end by January 7 2025.
President Akufo-Addo began his pursuit to become Ghana’s President during the 2008 elections where he lost to the late John Evans Atta Mills. He contested again in 2012 against John Dramani Mahama where he lost again but sort the Supreme Court’s clarification on the election results. In 2016, he contested again against the then incumbent John Dramani Mahama where he won with a landslide margin becoming the only president to record such a victory in the fourth Republic.
This he shared as a testimony of the faith he had as Christian and also the belief that he can become a leader of the country. He admonished the audience and Ghanaians to never lose hope and faith in God even when humans come at you or situations hit your aspirations because God rewards beautifully those who have unwavering faith in him.
