Lebene Cate Gbeti, who is the Volta Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP) Deputy Women’s Organizer, has urged Voltarians to vote for the party’s flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the December 7, 2024 polls.
According to her, the opposition, the National Democratic Congress which considers the Volta Region as its stronghold refused to appoint a running mate from the region, hence her call for action.
“JM (John Dramani Mahama) and the NDC had the chance of taking a running mate from the volta region and they failed at it. (This is a message to us) and they picked Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, pretending as if they loved the support of women in this country,” she stated.
She called on the Volta Region to “inflict a 3rd consecutive defeat” on the NDC at the polls.
Lebene argues it is only through their long term leadership that they will be able to share the good news of the NPP.
