Carlo Ancelotti will be without striker Vinicius Jr for three weeks as the player has suffered a muslce injury.
This means the player could miss up to seven games in all competitions, including games against Girona and Athletic Bilbao in LaLiga and a Champions League visit to Atalanta.
Vinicius picked up the injury during Madrid’s 3:0 victory over Leganes in the La-Liga.
The striker will miss Real Madrid’s Champions League match with Liverpool on Wednesday, 27th November, 2024.
“Following tests carried out today on our player Vini Jr by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the biceps femoris in his left leg. Pending evolution,” a statement from Real Madrid said.
Real Madrid has now been hit by a series of injuries with key players like Rodrygo, Eder Militao, Dani Carvajal, Lucas Vazquez, Aurelien Tchouameni and David Alaba all injured.
Real are second in the LaLiga standings on 30 points, four points behind Barcelona who leads the table with 34 points.
