The head pastor of the Alabaster International Ministries, Prophet Kofi Oduro, has expressed surprise at the level of corruption in Ghana, especially when all the nation’s politicians claim to be religious people.
According to him, religious people do not commit crime or engage in corrupt practices but that is not what is happening in Ghana.
Delivering a sermon at his church, the man of God asked, “All our politicians claim to be either Christians or Muslims. So, who is stealing from Ghana. Who is doing the looting? You all say you are Christians and Muslims. So, I am asking so who are the people stealing the money?”
There have numerous corruption scandals popping up in Ghana with high-ranking government officials being implicated in these scandals.
Ghana has a score of 43, meaning it ranks 70 out of 180 countries in public sector corruption according to data from the corruption perception index.
