The ongoing #EnoughIsEnough demonstration by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has attracted a myriad of people, both supporters of the party and people tired of the current economic hardship in Ghana.
Characters who have stood out in this demonstration currently ongoing are the godlike figure covered from head to toe in straw, these people are “the gods” of the Volta Region, the party’s stronghold.
As the ‘gods’ mingle with the crowd and dance to the drumming and percussion music ongoing at the demonstration, other protestors can be heard chanting, Enough Is Enough.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has initiated a nationwide demonstration today, Tuesday, September 17, in response to the Electoral Commission’s (EC) refusal to permit a forensic audit of the voter’s register.
The protest, dubbed #EnoughIsEnough is currently taking place at the approved routes across all 16 regions of Ghana.
The demonstration, announced by party chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah on September 16, 2024, is driven by the NDC’s concerns over alleged discrepancies in the voter’s register.
