Politics in Ghana has always been a mixed bag of humour, love and sometimes tempers flaring.
However, political parties in Ghana, especially the major one’s the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC) have always made it throw jabs at each other whenever an opportunity presents itself.
A recent campaign trail at Ayawaso North constituency by the NPP did not go as planned. The NPP branded truck with speakers mounted on top of it unfortunately passed in front of the NDC party office in the constituency.
Upon reaching the front of the party (NDC) office, youth clad in NDC jumped in front of the NPP campaign truck blaring with music, joyously dancing and having fun. Some even climbed the back of the truck to enjoy themselves.
Ahead of the December 7, 2024 elections, there have been calls for peaceful and violent free elections. If the various parties and their support keep showing this kind of unity and love, the elections will be a peaceful one filled with love and tolerance.
