A Member of Parliament (MP) for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has been spotted slapping MP for Adansi-Asokwa, K.T Hammond on the head.
This happened during a heated confrontation between MPs of the NDC and K.T Hammond after Speaker Bagbin adjourned Parliament indefinitely for a second time.
In the video, K.T Hammond who seemed displeased with the Speaker’s decision could be heard shouting and asking, “where is Ato (Forson)? Show leadership. Ghana is not Bagbin and his actions do not urger well.”
Some NDC MPs could be seen shoving K.T Hammond and reprimanding the NPP for refusing to come to parliament.
Out of the blue, a female MP was seen hitting K.T Hammond on his bald head after saying something to him in a low tone.
The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin has once again suspended parliament indefinitely again.
This follows the failure of Members of Parliament of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to be present in parliament today, November 7, 2024.
The NPP MPs who insisted on the recall of parliament refused to be present in parliament.
“In view of the failure of the business committee to sit, as a result of the refusal of those who requested for the recall to show up, we are compelled to once again adjourn the sitting of the house.
Knowing the challenges we are facing; it is not advisable to be adjourning from day to day. And so, I will proceed once more to adjourn the meeting indefinitely. And the meeting, this extraordinary meeting in accordingly adjourned,” Speaker Bagbin stated.
