Some portions of Asante Mampong in the Ashanti Region of Ghana suffered severe flooding after heavy downpour in the area yesterday, Tuesday October 15, 2024.
The affected areas were Tadiem to the Mampong lorry station.
Videos from the area show the lorry station and some cars submerged under water, with residents in the area seeking shelter on higher grounds.
Flooding has become a perennial issue in Ghana. Initially, flooding situations were recorded in the nation’s capital, but now, the Ashanti Region which rarely recorded floods, has now become like Accra.
