The Education Minister Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has revealed that the nkonkonte uniforms will soon cease to exist.

During an engagement in Accra on Sunday, the education minister spoke on behalf of Dr. Bawumia’s interaction with parents and students to discuss concerns related to the education sector.
Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum is quoted by GHONE TV saying, “Very soon, you won’t see the “nkonkonte” uniforms anymore.
The existing uniform is locally described as Konkonte and nkate nkwan (groundnut soup) worn by pupils at the basic level in public schools and was presented over 30 years ago by the government.
