Manchester United legend, Roy Keane has lashed out at the club’s captain, Bruno Fernandes over his poor performance and leadership over the last few years.
When asked about his take on players apologizing to managers, following Bruno Fernandes’ apology to Erik ten Hag after his (ten Hag’s) contract was terminated by Manchester United, Roy Keane said, “Too little too late. You’re judged by what you do on the football pitch and I don’t think Bruno has done enough in a lot of the games. He didn’t show that leadership so the interest here is what ten Hag has to say about it.”
According to Roy Keane, Bruno Fernandes’ performance as a captain has not been pleasing.
“I don’t think Bruno has done enough as captain of Manchester United over the last year or two to help the manager. I don’t think he showed enough leadership skills when the going got too tough. And I don’t think Bruno should be too proud of himself of what happened to the Manchester United manager in the last two weeks,” he added.
He advised Bruno Fernandes to move on as a lot of players do not care so much if a manager goes, “they focus on the next one and they get ready and look after themselves.”
