The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Titus Kwartei Glover has walked his talks and moved to clear hawkers sway from the newly constructed flowerpot flyover.
The Minister in his speech during the commissioning of the second longest flyover in West Africa on November 19, 2024 warned against the situation of kiosks and containers along and beneath the flyover. Less than 24 hours after his speech two young coconut and banana hawkers were spotted by media men comfortably parked and doing their business.
The Regional Minister who vowed sanctions against individuals found culpable of hawking there has moved after hearing the news to sack the hawkers. In a similar display as Jesus Christ did in the synagogue, the Minister was seen furiously clearing and destroying the tables and logistics used by the hawkers
Giving no chance for explanation, the Minister is captured clearing everything that will remind the hawkers of returning to the spot to hawk or continue their business. According to him, the city needs to be free off such hawking activities citing danger for those involved
