National Communication Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi has accused the Akufo-Addo government of being a galamsey government.
Speaking on Good Morning Ghana on Metro TV, Sammy Gyamfi said, “show me one NDC minister who was given a concession to mine in a forest reserve, Sam Pyne has a concession in a forest reserve. We have seen it, the Fourth Estate has published it, Erastus has confirmed”.
He added saying, “Your Western Regional Minister he is doing illegal mining, we have seen the list the last time Dr. Abbey, you put it on your screen those five government officials who are mining in forest reserve”.
Sammy Gyamfi insisted the government under Akufo-Addo Bawumia is a galamsey government and they want Ghanaians to sit with galamseyers to solve galamsey? It is not possible.
The NDC National communicator also revealed that Akufo-Addo enjoyed the goodwill from Ghanaian which even leading to the ban of both legal and illegal small-scale mining.
He however alleged saying, “Some of us knew it was only a rouse, only a charade calculated at adding top NPP functionaries to take over our forest reverse and water bodies”.
