Vice-president IMANI Africa, Bright Simons has reacted to the reports of the so-called abduction of Emirates Airline’s country manager Madam Sylvia Baah.
According to reports gathered Madam Sylvia Baah’s abduction was because she refused to delay an Emirates flight bound for Dubai on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, which had operatives of the National Security and National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) on the flight manifest.
Bright Simons asserted that a hard-hitting newspaper in Accra claims that the so-called abduction of Emirates Airline’s country manager was not an abduction.
He wrote on X, “But rather a move by National Security agencies to teach her a lesson for refusing to allow operatives to board the aircraft after they arrived too late at the boarding gate when the aircraft’s door had been locked”.
“She was allegedly accused of driving in a stolen car, taken to a safehouse, interrogated, and then dumped at a fast food joint in Ashaiman without charge”, his statement added.
Bright Simons further added, “This is so bizarre and outlandish it would have made for a zany tiktok skit, unless of course if it is true, in which case there is nothing funny about it”.
The vice-president IMANI Africa further called on the Ghana Police Service to enlighten Ghanaians regarding the case.
