Resident of Sekondi,by the name Kofi Bonti, has voiced his frustration over the ruling npp government’s Free Senior High School (SHS) policy, calling it a “burden” rather than a benefit.
“This Free SHS is not free to me!”because have to pay the fees for my children and pay my resnt so I don’t understand the meaning of the free senior hugh school program by the NPP’’
During a passionate appeal on the on channel one election CommunityForum program, Bonti shared that, despite the government’s promises, he has been spending a significant amount of his earnings to support his children’s education.
According to Bonti, the supposed “free” education has left many parents, like him, struggling to afford the hidden costs associated with schooling.
He expressed disappointment with the policy, stressing that it is not truly free for many families.
In his plea for help, he revealed that he would vote for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) john mahama and the parliamentary candidate for Secondi in the upcoming elections, hoping for change in the country’s education system
