Private legal Practitioner, Lawyer Martin Kpebu has said Parliamentary Business could not hold simply because, the NPP did not have its members available to help in the Parliamentary procedures.
According to him, some of the members were away campaigning within their constituencies and had little knowledge of caucus meeting before Parliament began. He mentioned that, a member of the NPP Parliamentarians had to enter the chamber only to find that his colleagues were not seated except for the NDC members.
He added that, what happened explained clearly that, there are deep cracks within the party and they cannot marshal themselves to Parliament to conduct business. He said in the face of embarrassment, they resorted to the boycott of the day’s business.
He further opined that, the Parliamentary crisis that occurred after the declaration of four vacant seats in the chamber is over, but the reason it appears to continue is that the Leader of Government Business, Afenyo Markin is unable to marshal his people to conduct the house business.
