The Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Mahama has said the road in Chereponi is terrible.
According to John Mahama, he didn’t expect the Chereponi road to be terrible and pledged to prioritize the Yendi-Chereponi road if voted into government.
Speaking to the Chiefs and people of Chereponi he said, “ My father, I have passed on the road myself, I have seen the road it is terrible, I didn’t expect that I would come to Chereponi after 8 years and find the road in this condition”.
“We left Tamale at 9 o clock this morning and it has taken us four hours to get here today is a journey that should have taken us just a little over 2 and a half hours, so I can assure you that since this is my own house when we come, we will prioritize the Yendi-Chereponi road”, he added.
John Mahama further revealed “I know that you have many other needs the secretary when he talked about education, health, assistance to farmers and so many other things. I can assure you the economy is in a big mess, 8 years of NPP administration has left us poor and indebted”.
