According to Kwesi Pratt Jnr, the Constitution which provides the legal frame for parliament to conduct its business is so clear that even babies can read the provisions and understand them.

Speaking on Good Morning Ghana, Kwesi Pratt Jnr, stated, “If you go to the Constitution which provides us with the legal frame, for the conduct of business in parliament, it is so clear that even this clamor for interpretation by the Supreme Court is absolutely nonsensical because the provisions are so clear even babies can read these provisions and understand them”.

“There is evidence that some babies start reading at three so there is evidence to that effect. So even those babies, if they were to take this Constitution, and read it, they will understand and not be calling for interpretation from anywhere”.

The Managing editor of the Insight newspaper further went on to explain Article 97 of the constitution saying, “Article 97 of the constitution Article 97 (G) states clearly that a member of parliament loses his or her seat if he leaves the party of which he was a member at the time of the election to parliament to join another party or seeks to remain in parliament as an independent member or if he was elected a member of parliament as an independent candidate and joins a political party, who needs interpretation for this”.

He added that anyone needing an interpretation for this must be dumb because it is in clear language.

Kwesi Pratt Jnr further revealed that the NPP has enacted for themselves a constitution that says that anytime any member of parliament or any other member contests against your party candidate that person automatically loses his or her membership of your party.
