A Ghanaian businesswoman from Kpone Katamanso has voiced her frustrations over the current state of the economy.
This happened during a recent community dialogue where she accused the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government of failing to deliver on its promises.
In her public outburst, she expressed her disappointment: “They’ve lied to us from day one. What they promised, they haven’t even achieved a pinch of it. When they were in opposition, they told us we were sitting on money, but now that they’re in power, we’re suffering.”
The businesswoman went on to bemoan the soaring cost of living, citing her own experience as an example: “100 cedis is the new 10 cedis. I used to buy a bale of clothes for GHS 1,300, and now it’s GHS 5,500. Yet, they refuse to admit that things are tough in the country.”
