Ghanaians on social media have reacted to President Akufo-Addo honoring himself with a statue.
The statue of Akufo-Addo is located at the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Sekondi and was during his one-day “thank you” tour of the Western Region on Wednesday, November 6.
Speaking to some residents gathered President Akufo-Addo asserted that he has accomplished 80 percent of his promises to Ghanaians and urged the people to vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the December polls.
The Western Regional Minister Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah explained that the statue honors the president’s initiatives in the region.
The rehabilitation of Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital, the construction of a 3-tier Sinohydro interchange, and the redevelopment of the Takoradi Market Circle.
Meanwhile, the above-mentioned project remains incomplete.
Ghanaians have taken to the social media pages on X, to express their disappointment descending heavily on President Akufo-Addo.
