Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Sam Nartey George, has dared President Akufo-Addo to clarify his stance on the anti-LGBTQ+ bill, similar to the declaration made by former President John Dramani Mahama during his meeting with clergy.
Speaking to his constituents as part of Mahama’s two-day campaign tour in Greater Accra, George emphasized the need for the President to publicly declare his position so the nation can understand where he stands.
His comment comes on the back of a call made by President Akufo-Addo on john Mahama to clarify his position on the fight against illegal mining, commonly known as galamsey, amid ongoing concerns about its negative impact on Ghana’s environment.
The President criticized Mahama for what he described as contradictory statements on the issue.
Reacting to this the Sam George has called on the president to use the same energy to declare his stance on lgbtq+ bill
John Mahama is currently in Old Ningo, part of his campaign tour, which will also include stops in Kpone Katamanso and Tema Central, ending the first day in Tema East.
During his tour, Mahama plans to engage in community programs and discussions with key stakeholders in both the formal and informal sectors.
