A picture has emerged of soldiers getting ready and being mobilized at the premises of Parliament today.
Although Parliament has its own Marshals to provide security, it has come as a surprise for many to see the military being mobilized at the House.
A social media user, Kojo Dynamic taking to social media to react to the military presence posted, “If the military think they are men, they should enter the chamber today and see something. Whoever ordered for their presence in parliament will be dealt with.”
Hither to this, parliament had issued a notice to the general public banning them from accessing the public gallery of the house until further notice.
The notice also announced measures to tighten security ahead of what might be a clash between the majority and minority caucus following the declaration of 4 seats vacant by Speaker Alban Bagbin and was subsequently stayed by a five-member Supreme Court panel presided over the Chief Justice, Justice Gertrude Sackey Torkornoo.
