The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, is calling on President Akufo-Addo to provide evidence for his claim of having constructed 12,000 kilometers of road networks.
Asiedu Nketia also asked about the Ashanti region’s share of these roads that the President claims to have built.
During his retail campaign tour of the region, he noted that nearly all the road networks were in a deplorable condition, raising questions about the government’s assertions regarding road construction.
He highlighted that many chiefs he met, including those from Kobeng, Sereso Timpon, Amakye Bare, and Achiase, expressed their concerns about the poor state of their roads and requested their repair and construction.
Asiedu Nketia compared the President’s claims about road construction to the journey between Ghana and the United Kingdom, emphasizing that the expected tarred roads were nonexistent.
He labeled Akufo-Addo’s claims as misleading and urged residents to vote for the NDC to ensure the development of their road networks.
