The mother of Ghana’s Second Lady Samira Bawumia, Hajia Aisha Ahmed has been fingered in the demolition of some ten plush houses in East Legon.
According to reports from the court, fresh revelation has linked the family of Samira Bawumia to being involved in the demolition after weeks of public denials of their involvement.
The owner of the demolished property George Oti Bonsu filed a contempt case against Hajia Aisha Ahmed, mother of the Second Lady, and her attorney Charles Edem Adogodo, following the demolition of his property.
Reports indicate that during the contempt case hearing on October 26, 2024, Defense Legal representative Kofi Abotsi confirmed that Hajia Aisha Ahmed is indeed the mother of Second Lady Samira Bawumia.
It came into the limelight in court when the Lawyer representing Mr. Oti Bonsu questioned why the accused Haija Aisha Ahmed was always absent during the court proceedings.
Samira Bawumia’s mother’s lawyer Ernest Kofi Abotsi detailed to the court that her client is the wife of Ghana’s Ambassador to the UAE Ahaji Ahmed Ramadan who is the father of Samira Bawumia, hence her absence in court hearings due to constant travels out of Ghana.
