Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has commiserated with the family of the late leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Akua Donkor.
In a simple but touching tribute, Dr. Bawumia gave accordance to Akua Donkor for her role in strengthening the nation’s democratic process.
In an X post, Dr. Bawumia said, “I write to commiserate with the family and political party of Madam Akua Donkor who until her death was the 2024 Presidential Candidate for the Ghana Freedom Party. She played her part in consolidating our democracy.”
Akua Donkor’s sudden passing happened on the late hours of Monday, October 28th, 2024 at the Ridge Hospital. She is said to have died from a heart attack.
