Samira Bawumia’s ‘Vote for a Muslim President’ provokes outrage online

Second Lady Samira Bawumia, while campaigning for her husband, has provoked outrage online after calling on Ghanaians to vote for her husband, Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party(NPP), Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia to make him the first Muslim president.

In a bold statement, she stated that “because of the NPP, Ghana has had a first and second Muslim Vice President, it is time to go the extra mile to get a Muslim president”.

Her statement which did not sit well with many netizens has fired up debates online.
