Mohamed Salah, has sent Liverpool fans into a state of worry, following a message which points to the fact that he might be leaving the club soon.
“Top of the table is where this club belongs. Nothing less. All teams win matches but there’s only 1 champion in the end. That’s what we want. Thank you for your support last night. No matter what happens, I will never forget what scoring at Anfield feels like,” his post read.
This is however not the first time Salah has hinted about leaving Liverpool. His current Liverpool contract is set to run out in June 2025 but Reds fans have not given up trying to convince their star to sign another deal.
The emergence of the Saudi Pro League is rumoured to be Salah’s preferred destination for a massive contract as he edges closer to retirement.
Salah is a living legend at Liverpool having won the Champions League and helping Jurgen Klopp’s side to a first league title since 1990 during the 2019/20 season.
Premier League fans will remember the front three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Salah that set English football alight, the 32-year-old being the only one remaining in Merseyside.
