An unidentified woman has tragically lost her life in a hit-and-run accident.
The information gathered suggests the accident happened at the Spanner bus stop near Accra Mall.
The driver after hitting the woman with his or her vehicle fearing any repercussions drove speedily away as unsuspecting pedestrians looked on.
According to an eyewitness report, she was struck by a vehicle while crossing the highway without using the pedestrian bridge and was then run over by other speeding vehicles that didn’t see her unconscious body on the road.
In a viral video shared by SIKA Official, some Ghanaians were captured trying to cover up the dead woman with very poor lighting around the scene of the accident.
Ghanaian pedestrians instead of using pedestrian bridges when crossing major highways in the country will rather risk their lives by using the highway instead, with some jumping over slabs separating the roads.
