A video has emerged on social media X claiming to be the moment the Kasoa dynamite explosion occurred.
The video was shared by an X user, BlaQBwoy, who wrote, “This video shows the moment the dynamite explosion occurred in Kasoa. It looks quite frightening😳😢”.
The Kasoa explosion led to the death of three people with injuries to 39 others.
The Winneba-Kasoa highway is under construction as part of government plans to ease vehicular traffic in the area.
According to reports, the contractor in charge of the construction of the Winneba-Kasoa highway is Fairmount Company Limited, reports suggest they regularly blast some rocks impeding their work.
Fairmount Company Limited regularly announces its rock explosion schedules to the people living in the community. However, on Monday, the company refused to announce the schedule and went ahead to blast the rocks without the knowledge of the community members.
