The Leader and Founder of the Action People’s Party (APP), Kenneth Nana Kwame Asamoah, has urged the Asante people to vote against the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) because he believes the party does not deserve their votes.
Addressing a press conference in Kumasi, he stated that although the Asantes have periodically voted for the NPP, the party has failed to fulfill its promises to them.
Asamoah highlighted that the NPP had committed to constructing five interchanges in the Ashanti region, but after nearly eight years in power, they have yet to deliver on this promise.
He also criticized the NPP’s running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh and other party officials, for their inability to lobby for essential developmental projects in the region.
He emphasized that “Asantes cannot continue to be fools for the NPP,” asserting that the Asante people do not belong to the NPP, encouraging them to change their voting patterns to ensure.
