The Mortuary and Funeral Facilities Agency has urged the Mortuary Workers Association of Ghana to reconsider its decision to embark on an industrial action.
The group served notice to withdraw all services across the various hospitals nationwide effective Thursday 26th September 2024 over government’s failure to implement agreed conditions of service, pay salary arrears, and provide personal protective equipment among others.
However, in response, the mortuary and funeral facilities agency says it has acknowledged and is actively engaging relevant stakeholders towards addressing these concerns.
The agency in its statement dated 23rd September 2024 reiterated its commitment to advocating a mutually beneficial resolution that addresses their welfare and safety standards of mortuary workers while protecting public health and safety.
