Venessa Edotom Boateng, a broadcast Journalist has revealed that PRESEC, St. Monica’s school, and other SHS in Ghana received expired bags of rice.
According to her Ghana has now become a crime scene after St. Monica’s school, Presec, and some schools in Accra, Konongo SHS, Bolgatanga SHS all received the expired rice.
The Metro TV broadcaster was reacting to a document presented by Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa about 22,000 expired 50kg bags of rice to feed Free SHS students.
She wrote on X, “Ghana is now a crime scene! Why would you feed expired food to students? According to docs. presented by @S_OkudzetoAblak. St. Monica’s school, Presec, and some schools in Accra, KonongoSHS, Bolgatanga SHS all received the expired rice. Expired rice can lead to liver cancer!!!”
Hon. Ablakwa, through a parliamentary oversight, uncovered a grand callous, dangerous, murderous, and corrupt scheme that puts the health of Senior High School students in extreme jeopardy.
He revealed that a crony company was allowed to criminally re-package over 15,000 50kg bags of expired and contaminated rice into different 50kg bags without expiry dates under the full protection of NPP political heavyweights.
Meanwhile, Okudzeto Ablakwa has fingered the Ministry of Education as being complicit in the supply of 22,000 expired 50kg bags of rice to feed Free SHS students.
