The Ghana Police Service has placed a bounty on a group of thugs dressed in an NDC paraphernalia who vowed to u leash violence during elections.
The video captured a group of heavily built men allegedly belonging to the NDC party on Obuasi threatening the peaceful election process within the Ashanti Region and Obuasi in its entirety. The video which has gone viral has reached the desk of the Ghana Police who has vowed to unleash harsh treatment to any individual or group of persons who will directly or indirectly cause chaos before, during and after the elections.
In a press statement, the Ghana Police Service shared that they are on a manhunt for the individuals from Obuasi who were declared wanted on 15th November 2024, for threatening violence during the upcoming 2024 General Elections.
The suspects, including Fuseini Yahuza, Bernard Ahedor, Simon, Basit, Musa Yakubu alias Agya Musah, and their accomplices, have been on the run since the incident and the Police have been pursuing them.
The Police are, therefore, appealing to the public to support the ongoing operation in search of the suspects by providing information that could lead to their arrest.
A reward of Twenty Thousand Cedis (GH$ 20,000.00) is being offered for any person who provides credible information leading to the arrest of the suspects.
