The Ghana police service is on the heels of persons whose action led to the injury of Nine persons in a violent clash between supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Mamobi, here in Accra yesterday October 13.
In a press release issued by the police after the incident the police said“seven of the injured persons have been treated and discharged, while two others are still receiving care at the hospital.”
The Service assured the public that it has restored calm at Mamobi while an intelligence-led operation is currently ongoing to get the perpetrators who have been identified by the police arrested to face justice.
At least nine people sustained injuries following a violent confrontation between supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Mamobi, a suburb of Accra, on Sunday (13 October).
Seven of those injured have been treated and discharged while two remain in hospital, according to a statement issued by the Ghana Police Service.
The cause of the violent incident was not immediately known.
The police reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring justice and maintaining public order as the 2024 general elections approach.
