The Ghana Police Service has commenced an investigation into an incident that occurred at the premises of Metro TV in Accra this morning, Wednesday, 27th November 2024.
It was reported that the Wednesday November 27, 2024 edition of the Good Morning Ghana morning show on Metro TV experienced a sudden break as a group of young guys and police officers tried to break through the studio.
The show was put on hold due to the situation while panelists were making submissions on topical issues making trends in the media. Per reports the private security personnel at the premises of the station have had one member injured while trying to stop the interruption by the group and Policemen.
In a swift move the Ghana Police Service has intervened and taken up the case as it is gaining root and trend on the internet. They have taken up the matter to ensure that all those involved in the disruption will be brought to book in order to achieve cool heads as the country heads to the polls.
Preliminary Police investigations indicate that upon a request from the court, Police Officers accompanied a court bailiff in the company of the judgment creditor, Vodacom Business (Ghana) Limited, to execute a court order against Metro TV.
They urged the public, particularly the management and staff of Metro TV, to remain calm and cooperate with the Police in the ongoing investigation.
