Police arrest innocent 4-month pregnant woman as part Democracy Hub protestors

A pregnant woman in her fourth term identified as Sarah has been arrested for her involvement in the Democracy Hub demonstration against illegal mining (galamsey).

Sarah who was part of the 40 persons arraigned before court today and denied bail whiles exiting court was heard saying:” We are not even protestors..me and man we are not even protestors and you take us. Our parents do not even know where we are.”

Another woman, a presumed relative of Sarah who upon seeing her (Sarah) started screaming and crying, ‘that is Sarah she is four months pregnant. That is Sarah.”

The visibly shaken and disoriented relative of Sarah kept crying and trying to see her (Sarah) kept knocking at the windshield of the police transport, shouting Sarah.

The police who seemed unconcern about the fact of Sarah’s pregnancy and her non-involvement in the demonstration but cared immensely about her car could be heard shouting, “hey hey..don’t let her spoil the car. We will not allow you knock on our vehicle,” they screamed at her while pulling her away from the bus.
